Stone Rose Words by Martin Haro This one is for the boys: If you are a business exec, a fashionisto, or just like easy-to-wear clothes, Stone Rose is It, It, It. Inspired by the day-to-night lifestyle, this line of men's wovens offers a vibrant collection of contemporary styles. "Woven shirts have become a significant part of both my work and social attire," said Jonathan Sharvit, one of the Miami-based label's founding partners. "Finding it difficult to purchase these staples at a moderate price, I saw this market void as a business opportunity." The brainchild of Sharvit and childhood friend Shai Medalsy, the two Montreal transplants brought inspiration to reality launching the brand in April, 2007. The Stone Rose philosophy is to keep things easy and versatile by creating pieces that change their feel by the simple flip of a cuff or the pop of a collar. "I plan to expand the creative direction of Stone Rose into other realms," Medalsy said. "After all, everyone needs that safety piece in their closet … not just men." On the horizon for this trendsetting group is an expansion into men's blazers, children's wear and wovens for women. Stone Rose shirts retail at $130-$170 and are available for purchase in Miami boutiques Red Zebra and Dan Design. To order, call (305) 393-8468 or visit www.livestonerose.com.
