Gay Days 2009 Words by Martin Haro It is that fun, happy, gay time of the year, people: Gay Days are a- comin'! As it has become tradition, the rainbow flag will wave proudly in Orlando, when thousands of beautiful gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender party people arrive in town to visit its popular theme parks and attractions, and come together to be part of the hottest circuit party of the summer during the annual Gay Days at Disney World. It may be a small world, but come June 2-8, it definitely will be a gay world, so pack your bags with all things red, and check out some of the scheduled events, like the 11th annual Gay Days Expo on June 4-6 at host hotel the Royal Plaza, or recently out Wanda Sykes' performance at the Hard Rock Live on June 5. So put on your Mickey Mouse ears – or your Minnie Mouse skirt – and join in on the fun. Attendance has grown consistently since the first event 18 years ago, attracting more than 100,000 GLBT guests, their families and friends.
