Dr. Oscar Lopez, of Astoria Dental, who has devoted his life to create more beautiful, natural, and healthier smiles, can be the best person to visit to enhance your beauty by making some alterations to your teeth. He has an artistic ability along with his expertise in the science of dentistry. Since his youth, Dr. Lopez always wanted to become a dentist like his father. He grew up in Cliffside Park, New Jersey, and spent his summers working in a dental lab as a technician. Eight years ago, his father opened up his own dental practice and Dr. Oscar Lopez started his career by assisting him. Even for his first project in high school, he created his first denture. "I always knew I wanted to be a dentist," he says. Dr. Lopez had a successful life as a student, too. He attended Upsala College and graduated in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science degree. After graduating, he wanted to specialize in dentistry, so he continued his education and pursuit of dentistry at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He graduated in 1989 as a Doctor of Medicine Dentistry by received the highest honors award of Clinical Restorative Dentistry in his class. Upon graduation, since his father retired, and Dr. Lopez took over his father's family practice, Astoria Dental in Astoria, New York. Due to his successes, Astoria Dental started to grow by opening up new locations. The second practice was opened in 1993, in New Jersey, due to strong demand. Seven years after that, Dr. Lopez decided to bring "Astoria Dental to the beach" by relocating. Here in Miami, Astoria Dental provides its patients with the same comfort and warm, welcoming environment of the original Astoria Dental at the Beach, which now welcomes patients from all over the region, including many actors and models, and serves with pride its communities in New York and South Florida. Astoria Dental provides all manner of procedures, such as Invisalign, root canals, crown and bridgework, Zoom whitening, porcelain veneers, implants, and more. In addition to these procedures, in this practice everything is set up for patients happiness and comfort, such as its flexibility of emergency and evening appointments, the acceptance of many types of insurance plans, easy financial plans, and the most modern dental technology available today. Astoria Dental continues to grow and expand its services. Dr. Lopez will soon relocate his Lincoln Road office to 1235 Alton Road, Miami Beach. This new location will offer even more of the superlative dental services with its ultra-modern dentistry equipment. In this new location, patients will find all manner of spa treatment, from hair services to facials to massages and nails. Also, an exciting new venture, Astoria Dental Spa, will open in the next six months. It will be a place where everyone is welcome to enjoy their time—while enhancing their appearances.
