This Miami Art Week, Miele brought together design, innovation, and artistic expression with The Kitchen Muse, an immersive pop-up experience at Wynwood Walls. In partnership with ELLE DECOR, the installation features a sculptural kitchen concept by architect and interior designer Luis Fernandez, paired with a custom artwork by Mikael B., one of Wynwood’s featured artists. Using Miele’s 36” MasterCool refrigerator as both inspiration and canvas, the piece celebrates the idea that creativity and beauty exist in everyday moments. Positioned at the center of Wynwood Walls, The Kitchen Muse underscores Miele’s continued expansion in North America and the brand’s long-standing commitment to longevity, sustainability, and refined design. The activation also highlights Miele’s leading product innovations—including the 36” Induction Cooktop and Built-In Coffee Machines—and offers guests a curated schedule of experiences, from live culinary demonstrations to coffee tastings and creative programming. “The Kitchen Muse is intended to spark conversation and place Miele at the center of a cultural moment,” says Catherine Grayson-Roper, VP of Marketing for Miele U.S. & Mexico. “Our customers are design-oriented individuals who are always looking for what’s next—both in aesthetics and performance.” Fernandez’s sculptural layout blends mirrored stainless steel, textured glass, and Verdi Alpi green stone in a design that feels both natural and futuristic. “Miele represents precision and innovation with an effortless beauty,” he says. “The appliances don’t want to be hidden—they want to be fully displayed, almost framed.” With Miele’s 125-year legacy of Immer Besser (“Forever Better”) and Fernandez’s forward-thinking design approach, The Kitchen Muse repositions the kitchen as a space where high-end design, meaningful experiences, and artistic expression coexist seamlessly. For this special Dec–Holiday issue, Miami Living Magazine spoke with Catherine Grayson-Roper about Miele’s growing momentum—from the success of the “Rumored for a Reason” campaign to the brand’s continued leadership in MasterCool refrigeration. We also connected with Luis Fernandez, the creative force behind The Kitchen Muse, to discuss his design philosophy and the trends shaping 2026. Together, they share insights on creativity, innovation, and the evolving intersection of technology and design.
