Overview Art Basel Miami Beach is divided into several sectors, each dedicated to different facets of contemporary and modern art. The main sector, Galleries, features leading international galleries presenting works by emerging talents and established masters. Other sectors include Meridians, which showcases large-scale projects curated by Yasmil Raymond, and Nova, focusing on recent works by one to three artists. Positions highlights solo presentations by emerging artists, while Survey focuses on galleries exploring historically significant artistic practices. Additional sections like Kabinett feature curated exhibitions within booths, and Conversations offers live debates with cultural thought leaders. Yasmil Raymond will curate the 2024 Meridians sector for the first time, bringing her expertise as the former Director of Portikus and Rector of the Hochschule für Bildendende Künste-Städelschule in Germany to the large-scale projects that push the boundaries of traditional art fair formats.
