Amalia Home Collection is a culmination of almost 100 years of experience and heritage in the textile industry. Its roots can be traced back several generations to the 1920s, when some of the original mills of northern Portugal began to manufacture products that personify European quality and craftsmanship. Bed Linen All products have been developed to be the best available anywhere in the world. We combine high thread counts and specially selected raw materials to assure only the very best articles are brought to market. From here, we create coordinating collections for a well-rounded and complete look. The Name The name of the collection was inspired by the great grandmother of António Coelho Lima, owner and founder of ACL Impex and one of the creators of Amalia Home Collection. This bond rooted in its legacy gives even more heart to these collections. Amalia is also a name known worldwide through one of the most iconic Portuguese music forms: Fado. The collection embodies the soul of Portugal — the melancholic happiness known as “saudade,” beauty, and destiny. Certifications Amalia Home Collection has met the global environment’s evolving challenges over the years, combining rich tradition with constant innovation. After almost 100 years of history and expertise, Amalia Home Collection has laid the groundwork for meeting today’s challenges in the international marketplace. While remaining focused on the development and pursuit of excellence in the world of textiles, Amalia Home Collection has achieved the ISO 9001 Quality Management System certification, the Egyptian Cotton Trademark certification, the Oëko-Tex certification, along with several others.
