Entertain with Style Celerie Kemble shares her tips for designing the ideal space for entertaining "A cocktail station is a fun way to get your guests involved in the party and mingle. My drink of choice is mezcal tequila on the rocks with a twist of grapefruit, so I set up a pretty vintage ice bucket and tray on a console or bar cart – like the Tinsley Bar Cart I designed for Arteriors - with a bottle of Don Julio Anejo, a grapefruit and peeler, and a bottle of seltzer." "The Nomad Cocktail Table was designed with entertaining in mind. The four nested ottomans can be pulled out during a party for extra seating and cozy conversations." "When creating a seating plan, I always consider what is comfortable and how each piece will participate in or facilitate conversation. Who does this chair talk to? Where do I put my drink? A well-designed room is about function as much as it is about beauty. For example, the Clover Stool is a great piece to place by a club chair – it's the perfect spot to set a drink." "Lighting is as important as music for setting the mood and tone of a party. If you can have lights at a variety of heights and at different brightness and degrees of shade opacity around the room, it makes any party space have much greater dimension and character. I think perforated metal or wicker shades, gold-leafed shade interiors go an additional mile in creating warm glow and festive dappled light." Tinsley Bar Car DC2003 $1,800 This sleek little bar cart is equal parts form and function. Beautifully crafted with a vintage brass finish, it features two tiers plated with antiqued mirror glass that has a brilliantly whimsical pattern. So handy, the bar is footed with 360º swivel casters for mobility, which are finished to blend seamlessly into the design.
