Orlando's Hottest Entertainment Destination The Adult's Guide to Universal Orlando Resort Words by Vanessa Pascale When you hear "Universal Orlando Resort," you might associate it with children's play, because of the amusement parks, but there is so much more here. The highly-frequented entertainment destination encompasses CityWalk; amusement parks: Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure; and hotels. Here's a brief adult's guide to help you navigate this exciting, massive complex. CITYWALK City Walk is full of dining and entertainment options. There is a number of restaurants to satiate everyone's tastes from foodies (Emeril's Restaurant Orlando) to those craving classic American fare (Hard Rock Café) or tasty seafood (The Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.). For crispy coconut shrimp and a 'Perfect Margarita,' head over to the legendary Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville – because it's 5 o'clock somewhere. When it comes to entertainment, they have you covered with a list of lively bars, lounges, and music venues like Hard Rock Live, while AMC Universal CityWalk Stadium Movie Theater & IMAX offers a more low-key form of entertainment. MUST: The Cowfish: Sushi Burger Bar When we first saw this restaurant sign, we thought: What an unusual concept? Our interest was piqued and we had to go. The innovative restaurant serves what they call "Burgushi" —which is sushi rolls using burger components and sandwiches with sushi ingredients. To experience the best of both worlds, we opted for The Cowfish Bento Box: a mini burger with American cheese, sweet potato fries, Thai cucumbers, and 4-piece sushi roll. It was both delicious and filling.
