Miami Star Report STAR SIGHTINGS Words by Hey there, how are you? How were your holidays, what did you do for New Year's? Where did you go, what did you do – who did you see? I was quite busy star-sighting, so let's get to it. Late in September, Rosie O'Donnell and BFF Cyndi Lauper got together for din-din at Red, The Steakhouse, while Calvin Klein held court at Joe Allen. Fall, of course, meant football, and last season several A-Listers paid attention to the Miami Dolphins, including minority owners Gloria and Emilio Estefan, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony, and Venus and Serena Williams. They joined Jimmy Buffett, T-Pain, team MVP emeritus Dan Marino, Tiger Woods, and Helio Castroneves at the home opener against the Indiana Colts at LandShark Stadium. Back on South Beach, Sean Kingston performed at Mansion, Lil' Kim took to the ocean on a jet ski, and Miami Heat star Dwayne Wade helped Lil Wayne celebrate his b-day at LIV at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach. Also turning up at the club: Michael Jordan, and Pete Wentz, who played DJ for the night. Jordan also hit Louis at the Gansevoort South, and, a few weeks later, he stopped by Café Prima Pasta in North Miami Beach for dinner with a gal pal. Fresh off his appearance at the Conference of the Americas in Coral Gables, President Bill Clinton headed up to the Acqualina Resort & Spa in Sunny Isles for an al fresco din-din at Il Mulino New York, while Carolina Herrera hosted a cocktail party to celebrate the opening of her store at Bal Harbour Shops. SCOOP Miami Star Report STAR SIGHTINGS Words by Martin Haro Jennifer Lopez & Marc Anthony walked the orange carpet at LandShark Stadium as they came out to support the Miami Dolphins. Mr. and Mrs. Miami, Emilio & Gloria Estefan, also celebrated their ownership interest on the Fins. 138 MIAMI LIVING
