Design Miami/ returns to Miami Beach from November 30 – December 4, 2016, across from Art Basel for its twelfth edition with a distinctly new set of projects, partnerships and programming. Thirty-one of the world's leading design galleries will exhibit, with four first-time exhibitors: Chamber of New York City, The Future Perfect of New York City, and San Francisco, Mercado Moderno of Rio de Janeiro and Giovanni Beltran of Miami. Highlights of this year's fair include: FOUNDING GALLERIES, SOLO SHOWS AND DEBUT WORK Founding gallery Galerie Patrick Seguin will present a range of modernist works, from Prouvé to Royère, while fellow founding gallery Hostler Burrows has invited Swedish artist Frida Fjellman to mount a special exhibition of her hand-blown Lustres. Entreprise will present a solo exhibition of the earliest of Maria Pergay's work in stainless steel, ranging from 1968-1972 and Thomas Fritsch – ARTRIUM will mount a focused exhibition of masterpieces by Parisian ceramicist Denise Gatard, the oldest sister of Georges Jouve. Newcomer to the fair Salon 94 will present a solo exhibition of vintage cabinets by famed architect and industrial designer Gaetano Pesce and several galleries will present debut works, including New York-based dealer Friedman Benda, who will present new work by Chris Schanck, Misha Kahn, the Campana Brothers, Faye Toogood, among others. London-based designer Michael Anastassiades has made exclusively for The Future Perfect new pieces from his Loop collection.
