Words by Martin Haro Photographs Courtesy of Shutterstock Miami Star Report STAR SIGHTINGS A nd we're done with 2014. Well, almost…essentially. It's a good thing: it means that Basel and New Year's are right around the corner and that the promise of a good, fun 2015 is about to start delivering. Which is probably what some 150 talented singers had in mind when they took their hopes and dreams to the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in September, to audition for Gloria and Emilio Estefan, when the power couple held an open casting call for the upcoming Broadway musical based on her life, On Your Feet. Lance Bass also was there, mic in hand, as he was covering the fun for TV's Entertainment Tonight. Meanwhile, back at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach…a late-summer BleauLive, featuring Meghan Trainor, Jake Miller, and Fifth Harmony, was taking place. (Miller, you will remember, is the "hip-pop" upstart from Weston we told you about two years ago. Look at him now!) Also doing the concert thing, but at Hyde Beach at the SLS South Beach Hotel, Fat Joe, who kicked off the Hip-Hop Legend Series at the hot spot, much to the delight of Scottie and Larsa Pippen, who were in the audience. Later in the month, it was Mase's turn to have a go at the series. James Marsden promoted The Best of Me at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. Dancing with the Stars pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy stopped into Zuma Miami at the EPIC Hotel for dinner. And Kelly Osbourne closed out the month with an appearance at Mansion to check out Skrillex's set at the club. Eva Longoria and her bf, Jose Antonio Baston, had themselves a dinner date at Gastón Acurio's La Mar at the Mandarin, while Gilles Marini relaxed out on the beach. Hayden Panettiere may have been in like, her last trimester back in October, but the Nashville star – and her boxer-fiancé Wladimir Klitschko – showed no sign of slowing down when she took her reported sixth VIP animal encounter tour of Jungle Island. Beaming new grandma Hillary Clinton talked up her new book, Hard Choices, at Books & Books in Coral Gables, while The Book of Life 's Kate del Castillo enjoyed dinner with a group of family and friends at Café Prima Pasta. Harry Styles of One Direction made the scene at Bianca at the Delano Hotel before the boy band's sold-out show at Sun Life Stadium. Cindy Crawford joined friends for brunch at the W Fort Lauderdale's Steak 954, and then she and her husband, Rande Gerber, hit Makoto Bal Harbour for dinner. Nick Jonas performed at BleauLive. Comeback kid Keanu Reeves visited the Despierta América set to promote his hit fall revenge thriller John Wick. And an obviously on-a-date Lance Armstrong was spotted walking into Prime 112 on Columbus Day weekend, while Miguel held court at Hyde Beach, where he enjoyed some Casamigos Tequila with a group of friends. Bono and Larry Mullen Jr. hung out with some U2 fans at Soho Beach House during an iHeartRadio town hall of sorts. Cher Horowitz herself, Alicia Silverstone, lent a little bit of her star power to the 2014 edition of the Seed Wine and Food Miami festival, when she hosted the Vedge dinner at Tongue & Cheek. The actress also was seen greeting some fans at the Eden Roc Miami Beach, where she was staying while in town. Designer John Varvatos did the meet-and-greet thing with many a fan at the opening of his new store at Bal Harbour Shops, while Sean Connery enjoyed the fare of the mall's Makoto. Meanwhile, downtown, at Zuma, Backstreet Boys Brian Littrell and Kevin Richardson had hearty (separate) dinners before joining their bandmates for their annual cruise. And then the one, the only Oprah took over the American Airlines Arena for her The Life You Want Weekend. At the end of the event, though, the Big O and her BFF, Gayle King, hit Prime 112, and then the most BAE of all BAEs had to do a little damage control with a pedestrian lady after her driver accidentally ran over her foot. Like, we're talking Oprah immediately getting out of the car and rushing to tend to the woman, who was A-OK. Atta girl. After Ms. O cleared outta the house, it was time for Enrique Iglesias and Pitbull to take over the AAA for the Miami stop of their joint "Sex and Love Tour." Hillary Clinton promoted her Hard Choices at Books & Books Coral Gables. Jamie Foxx supported Michael Capon as he launched his new VIP nightlife app InList at the Shelborne Wyndham Grand South Beach.
