stone walls, traditional courtyards, and architectural details that reflect the region’s past. Walking through the property, I found a thoughtful blend of old and new, where historic elements are combined with modern spaces, Mediterranean gardens, and a large infinity pool overlooking the Alimini Lakes. Rooms & Suites with Puglian Character Although Baglioni Masseria Muzza features 40 rooms and suites, the thoughtful layout of the property makes the experience feel much more private and intimate. Spread throughout the masseria’s different areas, the accommodations blend naturally with the landscape, allowing guests to enjoy a sense of space and tranquility rather than feeling like they are staying in a traditional hotel. The rooms beautifully reflect the natural elements of Salento, combining whitewashed walls, exposed stone, artisanal fabrics, earthy tones, and contemporary comforts. Every detail feels connected to the region, from the traditional materials used throughout the interiors to the private outdoor spaces that extend each accommodation. My room included a spacious patio with a wooden gazebo, sun loungers, and outdoor seating, creating a quiet place to enjoy the surrounding countryside. Inside, I appreciated the generously sized bathroom and the classic Acqua di Parma amenities, which added a refined touch to the stay. Accommodation options range from Deluxe Rooms and Junior Suites to larger categories such as the Duplex, Family Room, Deluxe Suite, and Salento Suite. For guests looking for additional space and privacy, the Signature Suites showcase the Mediterranean style of the masseria through elegant finishes, natural materials, and generous layouts. The 1,001 sq. ft. (93 m²) Otranto Suite features two bedrooms, a living area, two bathrooms, and a furnished veranda overlooking the Salento landscape. The 1,173 sq. ft. (109 m²) Salento Suite, the property’s most exclusive accommodation, offers two bedrooms, en-suite bathrooms, a private patio, and views of the surrounding countryside and sunset.
