That intentionality has defined her critical rise. Zendaya has won two Primetime Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe, become one of the most recognizable actresses today, and developed a reputation for making thoughtful choices about both the characters she plays and the brands she represents—a track record that led Time to name her one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2022. It was that same selectivity that drew her to her latest role. “I love how Paradoxe celebrates complexity, capturing both strength and vulnerability without trying to frame or define someone,” Zendaya said in announcing the partnership. “For me, the fragrances we choose are a reflection of how we move through the world. Joining the brand feels like a completely natural extension of that mindset, especially since Paradoxe was already a personal favorite.” The partnership is notable because Zendaya was already wearing Paradoxe before Prada Beauty approached her. According to Harper’s Bazaar, she first tried the fragrance at the 2025 Met Gala after repeatedly smelling it on her best friend. She liked it immediately, received compliments and eventually made it her signature scent. She gave Vogue a similar account, explaining that her first introduction to Prada fragrances came through a close friend who wore Prada Paradoxe Eau de Parfum Intense. After trying it herself at the 2025 Met Gala, she said the compliments convinced her to keep wearing it. Sweet Chemistry has now joined that rotation.
