In this exclusive interview with Miami Living, Teitelbaum discusses the inspiration behind the brand, why Miami played a key role in its development, the growing demand for better mixers, and his vision for creating what he calls the “modern mixer” category. Miami Living: Revello was created from your own search for a more balanced way to enjoy a great drink. What did you feel was missing from the mixer category? Matt Teitelbaum: The idea hit me in a cold plunge, part of my near-daily routine. We’d had friends over the night before, enjoyed a few cocktails, and the next morning I was sitting in the water when the whole concept just landed. I got out freezing, but the chill down my spine was the idea, not the water. I started researching the category that day and couldn’t believe nothing like it existed. Consumers had evolved, but mixers hadn’t. I’ve always believed in everything in moderation, and I wanted a product that reflected that philosophy. Something that tasted incredible but felt more aligned with how people live today. That’s what Revello became: the modern mixer.
