Unlike New York Fashion Week, which operates under a more centralized structure, Miami Swim Week consists of multiple organizers producing their own runway shows, presentations, exhibitions, and industry events simultaneously. These events take place at hotels, beachfront venues, private properties, convention spaces, and other locations throughout Miami Beach, attracting designers, buyers, media, influencers, and fashion industry professionals. Today, major platforms such as PARAISO Miami Swim Week and Miami Swim Week® – The Shows anchor a broader calendar of events that collectively showcase hundreds of swimwear and resort wear brands each year. Brands participate in Miami Swim Week in different ways. Some produce their own standalone runway presentations, while others join larger event platforms that provide production services, casting, venue management, media outreach, and event infrastructure. Throughout the week, buyers, journalists, photographers, influencers, retailers, and consumers move between venues following a packed calendar of shows and industry events. Among the largest and most established platforms is PARAISO Miami Swim Week, which serves as a central hub for many of the week’s activities. Recognized by the City of Miami Beach as the official Miami Swim Week platform, PARAISO hosts runway presentations, brand activations, trade-focused programming, wellness events, pop-up experiences, and networking opportunities. Many swimwear and resort wear brands use the platform to introduce new collections and connect with media and retail partners. Another major organizer is Miami Swim Week® – The Shows, a runway-focused platform that brings together designers from around the world. The event features dozens of fashion presentations ranging from established swimwear labels to emerging brands seeking exposure in the U.S. market. In addition to runway shows, the platform hosts industry discussions, networking events, and product launches. Several independent productions also contribute to the week’s schedule. The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Runway Show has become one of the most visible events, drawing extensive media attention and featuring models, athletes, entertainers, and public figures. Other organizers, including Planet Fashion TV, produce multi-designer showcases that combine fashion presentations with entertainment programming and hospitality experiences.
