Artistry in Every Detail The illustration in the decanter, created by Mexican artist Erika Rivera, portrays a tender ofrenda surrounded by ethereal spirits—an artistic bridge between the tangible and the spiritual. Rivera, a Guadalajara native now based in Melbourne, drew inspiration from her own longing for home and the rich traditions that bind Mexicans across distances and generations. The bottle’s 24-karat gold-plated ornament, shaped like a locket, opens to reveal a reflective obsidian cameo—symbolic of the mirrors placed on ofrendas to help visiting souls recognize themselves. Its surface is adorned with delicate milagritos in bas-relief, representing faith, gratitude, and devotion. Each ornament was handcrafted by Milagros de Latón, a family-run brass workshop in Tesistán, Jalisco. Over 50 artisanal steps, from lost wax casting to hand polishing and gold plating, were required to bring every piece to life—a testament to Mexican craftsmanship and the enduring partnership behind the Nuestros Recuerdos series.
