Miami Living: How was your Miami Open experience this year? Any standout moments from the tournament? Morgan Riddle: It’s been great! The tournament held a Women’s Empowerment day and I was invited to speak on a panel along with former WTA player Martina Navratilova and Jenny Nguyen, who founded the first only womens-sports sports bar. It’s been really great to be recognized as having a hand in the shift and growth of women in sports. Miami Living: What’s your game-day routine? Any rituals or superstitions? Morgan Riddle: My non-negotiable every morning is an outdoor walk and a meditation. As glam as the lifestyle is—it’s also stressful and unsettling so it’s been a priority for me to really stick to my routines and rituals for my mental health. A lot of my work and success relies on my ability to be creative and on-the-pulse so I have to make sure that I’m well rested and grounded so I can jump into that as soon as I arrive at the tournament. Miami Living: You had some incredible looks throughout the tournament! Which style was your personal favorite and why? Can you go in depth about bringing this look together? Morgan Riddle: Thank you! My favorite looks I wore this week were a very tennis-core Lacoste outfit that I wore for a pre-launch event of theirs, or Thom Browne for a match day. I wore Thom Browne for the first time at US Open semi finals and have worn them multiple times since, the brand is very “me.” My stylist, Emily Essen, is a mastermind. Miami Living: What was the overall style vibe you noticed at the tournament? Any major fashion trends that stood out this year? Morgan Riddle: The top thing that stood out to me was how much blue I saw! I think shades of blue—specifically baby blue—will be very popular this spring/summer. Miami Living: Were there any designers or brands that played a big role in your Miami Open wardrobe? Morgan Riddle: Thom Browne, Staud, Miu Miu. I also just snagged a tote from Moynat who just opened their second in-person shop in the US and it’s fab for match days—can fit so much. I call these my “Mary Poppins” bags.
