The Marina Chain pattern, introduced in the 1970s, brought an air of maritime elegance to jewelry, scarves, and clothing, and was revived in 2023, underscoring its lasting appeal. Accornero’s animalia print, introduced in 1969, brought vivid wildlife imagery into Gucci’s silk repertoire. Lions, birds, and butterflies became key motifs across ties, scarves, and garments during the 1970s and 1990s. Equestrian influences have always been part of Gucci’s DNA. Early scarf designs celebrated outdoor pursuits like horse riding and fishing. Over time, motifs such as the Gucci Web and the iconic Horsebit—symbolizing equestrian gear—became central elements across scarves, bags, belts, and clothing, blending Gucci’s heritage with a modern, luxurious edge.
