Miami Living: The last time you played in Miami, your game was in a different place. What’s been the biggest change for you since then? Taylor Fritz: I’m feeling a lot better about my serve. Lately, I’ve been serving much more consistently and solidly. Miami Living: You’ve had an incredible year. If you had to pick one highlight, what moment stands out the most? Fritz: There are lots of them, but the obvious ones are the U.S. Open final, the World Tour Finals, and finishing the year ranked No. 4 in the world—I would say that’s a big one. Miami Living: You spend so much time traveling for tournaments. When you do get a break, where do you call home? Fritz: I would call Miami home. I feel like I probably get to be there for about a month and a half each year. Miami Living: Off the court, you got to experience something pretty unique before the World Tour Finals. What was that like? Fritz: Yeah, before the World Tour Finals, I had a chance to go to the League of Legends World Championship, which was a really cool experience for me. Miami Living: Everyone has their own quirks. What’s something about you that might surprise people? Fritz: “I’m not sure,” he says with a laugh, leaving fans to wonder.
