DAO, a chic contemporary Chinese restaurant adorned with a massive Buddha and flickering paper lanterns overhead, is also found on the rooftop. Everything from the dim sum and entrees to our server and his dessert presentation (hello, fire show), impressed. There are a variety of restaurants on the property to satiate all tastes, including Blanca Blue, which serves breakfast and Mexican fare; Hiroshi, which serves Japanese Cuisine; Bocados Steak House; The Rooftop; Food Truck, which serves raw bar seafood; Snack Bar, which serves American and Mexican food, and Gourmet Hall, which serves 5 types of specialty cuisines. All the food was delicious.  We loved the cuisine at Bocados Steak House and Hiroshi. Hiroshi’s gourmet robata experience is exceptional. While seated at their outdoor robata bar, we were served 7 excellent courses that included signature drinks, handmade nigiris, cono handrolls, makisushis, miso soup, traditional grilled skewers, and dessert. The sushi was incredibly fresh and delicious, while the other dishes were seasoned and plated perfectly. Bravo, Hiroshi. What truly makes this resort standout is the service. We interacted with myriad staff during our stay – at the bars, restaurants, front desk – and everyone was knowledgeable and always eager to accommodate us. We felt well taken care of here. During our tequila tasting at the lobby bar, we learned a great deal and enjoyed sampling a variety of fine tequilas. Now, I know the difference between blanco, reposado and añejo. By the evening, we were exhausted from indulging in the sun, pool time, libations (thank you, swim-up bar!), and plentiful fare, and were honestly happy to return to our cozy turned-down bed adorned with chocolates and towel art (we had towel elephants, a baby penguin and a towel birthday cake created by our housekeeper, Anayanci). And we definitely took advantage of the 24-hour room service --late-night desserts and breakfast in bed are a must when you are on vacation.  Garza Blanca Resort & Spa Cancun also caters to families with their kid’s pools, Kid’s Club, floating Aqua Park, and TierraLuna Plaza, where you will find a picture-perfect merry-go-round.  This stunning resort has so many photo-worthy spots from the central pool with its acrylic wall and ample hammocks to the gorgeous lobby and rooftop infinity pool.
