Make a reservation at SW Steakhouse or Lakeside for extraordinary fare and a dazzling show. [At Lakeside, I highly recommend the Prime Filet Mignon.] The all-new Lake of Dreams Show, designed by KO Company, Patrick Woodroffe Lighting Design, Michael Curry Design and Imaginary Forces, is a multimedia experience that blends colorful puppetry and music with state-of-the-art sound and 5,500 LED lights on the 3-acre Lake of Dreams. This year, Lake of Dreams, which is framed by a 90-foot performance waterfall and 1,500 pine trees, received a $14 million renovation. They introduced 12 new acts, several new characters, a fresh soundtrack of contemporary hits, and a number of major additions: an invisible overhead 3-D fly system, 4K video projectors, elaborate laser mapping, innovative floating video orbs that project images from the inside, and six full color lasers imported from Germany that display 180,000 points per second across 33 laser projection zones. Impressive, right? Wait till you see the show! The outdoor theater presents a show set against hit songs like Madonna’s “Lucky Star” performed by Electra Starburst, Sonny and Cher’s “I Got You Babe” performed by Emoji Orbs, and Frankie Valli’s “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” performed by Eyeballs. Guests are in for a magical, sensory experience with Electra, the show’s celestial emcee, flying through the air and the show’s all-new acts: Lady Birds, a trio of 28-foot, 17,000-pound songbirds; Astronaut in the new Space Oddity act; and Singing Frog, the iconic 30-foot amphibian. Shows run nightly every half hour beginning at dusk.
