Who is Roland Reznik? Roland Reznik was born on July 25, 1980, in New York. As the son of Russian immigrants, Roland learned a strong work ethic very early in his life, which led him to a career in the auto industry. He found himself as manager of a car dealership at just 18 years old, and he later created his own dealership that specialized in exotic and high-end vehicles. In 2006, he created Ship Any Car, a car transport brokerage company that ships vehicles nationwide to clients. In 2014, he introduced the revolutionary KD Smart Chair. This lightweight power wheelchair is portable and foldable, providing unparalleled freedom for its users. Through all of his numerous business ventures, Roland has always been passionate about helping people, which is why he launched Credit Repair Kings to help consumers fix their credit. Roland lived in New Jersey and NYC for a while, but he moved to Miami, Florida, in his 30s and never looked back. He's been incredibly vocal about how much he loves the Miami lifestyle and the warm weather here, and never missing the cold winters. In Miami, he has found a new passion: helping people improve their credit scores. Roland has seen firsthand just how a great credit score can boost a person's status and help them gain access to anything they may want, whether it's a nice house, luxurious vacations, or simply peace of mind for their family. Unemployment Statistics in Florida The coronavirus pandemic has been impactful all across the United States and around the world, but Florida has been hit particularly hard. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, as of July 2020, the Miami-Miami Beach-Kendall area reached an unemployment level of 14.2%, affecting almost 190,000 people. This figure is substantially higher than it was in March 2020, when the unemployment rate was just 3.8% and included approximately 50,000 people. These statistics are staggering, and one of the hardest-hit groups is Millennials. It should also be noted that there is a stark difference in the impact of the pandemic on rural versus metropolitan populations. For instance, when considering the Millennial populations in the Miami Metropolitan area, Experian reports that the average FICO score is 655, considered "fair." This same population has an average household income of $68,563, with an average total debt of $59,571. On the other hand, Millennial populations in rural Florida maintain an average FICO score of just 630. They make almost $10,000 less annually than their metropolitan counterparts with an average household income of $58,340, but their debt figures aren't far behind at an average of $52,772 per household. Both groups have clearly been impacted by financial difficulties, making it nearly impossible to raise their credit scores to get approved for favorable loans, improve their chances of getting approved for housing, receive better car insurance rates, and a number of other benefits. Keeping Your Credit Score High After COVID-19 With all of that being said, how can you improve and maintain your credit score in the struggling economy that we're faced with? First, contact your credit card company to see what they can do. Many companies like Discover and American Express are offering measures such as waived late fees and deferred monthly payments to help their customers get back on track. Deferred payments should not impact your credit score, but be sure to check with your provider. Your paused payments must be properly reported in order to prevent them from impacting your score. To further protect your credit health, consider filing a consumer statement with the credit bureaus explaining that you have been impacted by the pandemic. Take advantage of free weekly credit reports on AnnualCreditReport.com to track your progress. The two main factors that impact your credit score the most are missed payments and credit utilization rate. Once you start to get back on your feet, aim to pay all your bills on time and reduce your outstanding balance. These are the two quickest ways to increase your score after a period of hardship and set yourself back on track. Your credit report is important and plays a major role when applying for any type of loan. All the information about the consumer is collected and merged into a credit report that contains previous and current credit payment history, which helps the lenders decide whether an individual is qualified for loan or not.
