Interiors with Nikita Kahn With the cooler winter months approaching, this issue's column was inspired by Courchevel style. Incorporate modern interior designs with natural muted palettes and casual fabrics for a relaxed, ski- chalet feel. Think furnishings like Minotti's Curtis Bed designed in their unique pattern of soft fabric and leather, with a contrasting casual exposed zipper along the sides that soften the sophistication of this bed. Similar to a ski bench, Holly Hunt's Barn Board Blok exhibits layered textures and natural materials with a smooth cleaner-line modernity. Of course every chalet needs an entertainment piece that is as much a statement in minimalist design as it is fun, like the 11 Ravens Malibu Ping Pong Table. Adding detailed accents with casual laidback fabrics, as in the hand knife-etched Capa Cushion by Art Hide, will also help to give the space that relaxed chalet feel.
