An Evening with Javier Martin
Valli Art Gallery and Techrin Estates hosted an evening with Javier Martin, a Spanish multidisciplinary artist, whose works of art are inspired by careful observation of his surroundings that might otherwise pass by unnoticed to an unperceptive viewer, at CORE: Club. For more than a decade, Javier has been developing one of his most iconic collections, "Blindness," currently on display at CORE: Club through June 15, 2019. The eyes, associated with the reflection of human emotions, are always concealed, whether behind a vibrant stroke of paint or a glowing neon light. Javier spoke to guests about his career, influences, and the concept behind his captivating works. In addition to his work on display at CORE: Club and Valli Art Gallery, Javier has also been featured in recent exhibitions at the Collezioni Cattelani (Modena, Italy), the Liang Yi Museum (Hong Kong), and will have his first solo museum show at Seoul Museum this spring.
