Lifestyle FIERCE, FAB, &FIT Celebrity personal trainer & fitness expert Astrid Swan shares how to keep up your fitness goals through the holidays Words by Vanessa Pascale This season, many of us are often traveling and/or too busy to get to the gym, what's the best way to maintain our fitness goals? Astrid Swan: Traveling can make your regular gym routine difficult to attain, but remember how difficult it will be the first day you get back to the gym! There are still many options to stay fit and active while out of town. First of all, walk and explore your new destination. Walking is the best way to see the sights and is free! Most hotels have updated their fitness facility or have a deal with a local gym. I personally travel with a jump rope and resistance bands in my suitcase so no matter where I am I can get in a quick HIIT workout and do body weight exercises. Don't feel that you need to work out for 60 minutes every day. I understand that you are on vacation but remember, your body doesn't know that. Aim to get some kind of workout in for a minimum of 15 minutes a day.
