Event Ball & Chain in Little Havana Celebrated its 80th & 1st Birthday in Same Weekend The world famous live music venue, located at 1513 Southwest 8th Street, hosted their first annual three-day music festival in honor of the venue's 80th Anniversary Labor Day Weekend. The hotspot opened its doors in September 1935 as a live jazz music venue closing its doors in the 1950s, then reopened a year ago with an authentic Cuban flare meticulously redecorated in iconic 1950s Miami-style under new ownership, Ben Bush, Zack Bush and Bill Fuller, September 2014.
