EXCLUSIVE SIN CITY "STRIP" TEASE Work the strip like a pro on your next Vegas vacay Words by Vanessa Pascale Decked out in bright lights and boasting titillating shows, bountiful buffets, high-end shopping, incomparable nightlife and rockin' pool parties –Vegas delivers like no other city. Here, extravagance and indulgence is the norm; the pouring of cocktails never ceases, gambling is around the clock, and there's a cornucopia of top-tier accommodations waiting to shower you with VIP treatment. Everything is bigger and brighter, and dare I say —better. Looking to get lucky the next time you hit the strip? I have the scoop on Vegas' hot spots and must-sees. Round up your wolf pack, and get ready to jet set to Sin City. IT'S SHOW TIME A smorgasbord of fantastical shows for all tastes is just steps away, musicals, acrobatics, comedy, burlesque, magic… Vegas thrills like no other with its assemblage of the world's most extraordinary performers. Cirque du Soleil wows with eight very different and imaginative shows. You must see The Beatles: LOVE at The Mirage, which recently celebrated their 5th anniversary. Set against classics by the legendary Fab Four, adept aerialists, stuntmen, acrobats, and dancers breathe colorful life into this out- of-sight performance. A genuine feel- good production, The Beatles: LOVE will set your heart soaring — in the sky with diamonds. When it comes to The Beatles, what's not to LOVE? To further satiate your musical appetite, The Colosseum at Caesars Palace presents resident songstress, world-renowned, five-time Grammy Award winner Celine Dion. From the Playboy mansion to Planet Hollywood, Hef's former girlfriend Holly Madison, offers up "Vegas' only striptease spectacular" with Peepshow. Now, this is what Vegas is all about. WINNER, WINNER, TIME FOR DINNER This town is bubbling over with restaurants and buffets nestled in every single one of these dazzling casino resorts. The culinary world's top chefs have proudly set up shop here. Wolfgang & Emeril's restaurants sate palettes at The Palazzo, while Bobby makes mouths water over at Caesars Palace. But a trip to Vegas without the requisite buffet visit cannot be truly called a Vegas experience. Go big or go home, right? Hightail it over to Vegas' newest, posh hotel and casino, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, where you'll find the buffet to indulge in. The Cosmopolitan is the epitome of chic with its entryway housing eight massive columns wrapped in 48 bezel-less LCD displays and 3-story bar aptly named The Chandelier, boasting the largest and most brilliant 2 million beaded crystal chandelier the city has to offer. With that being said, you wouldn't expect anything less than pure culinary excellence when it comes to their fare. The Wicked Spoon exceeds buffet-goers expectations. This warm-hued and stylish restaurant is set to fulfill a foodie's dream with its multi-ethnic and high-quality dishes. Succulent cuts of meat such as their perfectly seasoned balsamic glazed lamb and prime rib melt in your mouth, while bone marrow suits sophisticated tastes. Individual, tapas-size dishes and miniature pots are filled with savory bites like their Louisiana BBQ shrimp with cheddar bacon grits and delectable Asiago stuffed gnocchi with lamb ragu. Mussels, crab legs, sushi and cocktail shrimp satisfy seafood cravings. Save room for their island of assorted desserts: fruit tarts, chocolate covered strawberries, warm chocolate cake, fudge, chocolate covered marshmallow pops, the list goes on. GET THIS PARTY STARTED… Vegas nightlife is unrivaled. The nightclubs adhere to the bigger and better mentality. Generally multi-leveled and following the latest craze, being centered around a tropical oasis, (pool and palm trees? Check!), they strive to impress. The Cosmopolitan has the most hyped venue to party at, Marquee Nightclub & Dayclub. This 60,000 square foot space draws in an exclusive and upscale crowd including celebrities and heavy hitters. World- famous DJs like Kaskade, Chuckie, Erick Morillo… and ATB make regular appearances –guaranteeing a night of dancing to the best music there is. The nightclub turns into a dayclub come morning and it's time to get your tan on at this swanky pool party. The refreshing pool fused with the mellifluous sounds being spun by the DJ–this is paradise. The dayclub area features eight cozy cabanas with individual infinity pools for your R&R and bottle service needs and ten 3-story bungalow lofts complete with living quarters and an open air deck, so that your entourage has plenty of space to spread out. Marquee is ready to treat you like the king or queen that you very much are. READY? SET? INDULDGE! ML MIAMI LIVING 81 Wicked Spoon The Beatles: Love / Photo Credit: Richard Termine Marquee Nightclub
