SCOOP Salma Hayek took her daughter Valentina to Jungle Island while in Miami. as Old Spice guy-cum-actor Isaiah Mustafa, and three actresses from my favorite shows, Aimee Teegarden (Friday Night Lights), Community's Gillian Jacobs, and Joy Bryant (Parenthood). Miami Housewives Marysol Patton, Adriana De Moura, and Alexia Echeverria also were there. The evening featured a performance by Rye Rye, whom I now heart. Another Housewife, Lea Black, joined Vivica A. Fox and E!'s Giuliana Rancic at the Catwalk for Charity event at the JW Marriott Marquis Miami, while Lil Wayne performed at Cameo and later joined the Dallas Mavericks at the LIV as the team celebrated their NBA championship over the Heat. Mavs owner Mark Cuban, in an obvious – and, by all account, big-spendin', million-dollar (at least!) – mood also partied at Louis at the Gans'. The X Factor train returned to the Magic City to hold auditions, this time bringing Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, and Nicole Scherzinger along for the ride. The Lance Bass held court at the Cabana Boy Sunday party at the Lords South Beach. erstwhile Pussycat Doll took a little time to enjoy our nice weather and went for a sexy swim at The Setai pool. For his part, Cowell unwound at Casa Tua. President Barack Obama kick-started his 2012 campaign with an appearance at the Arsht Center and headed to a PPR in Coconut Grove for a dinner prepared by Michael Schwartz, while Mike Tindall, the English rugby player-fiancé of the queen's granddaughter Zara Phillips, had a stag weekend in best- choice Miami, which included a debauched time at Tantra and Wall. Another Brit, Sir Richard Branson, threw a beautiful bash – made especially so because Karolina Kurkova was in attendance – at The Raleigh to celebrate 25 years of connecting Miami with London via Virgin Atlantic, while Jon Secada, Raúl De Molina, and Alexia Echeverria made the scene at De Rodriguez Ocean for the Hatuey beer launch party. And then, just like that, Father's Day weekend gave us a Tom Cruise sighting. The actor was spotted with Katie Holmes and Suri at the Miami Beach Marina, Selena Gomez promoted her summer offering Monte Carlo at the International Mall. fighting off the rain after a yacht ride. The couple also hit Larios on the Beach, while Julianne Hough, stepped out for a family meal at Smith & Wollensky. Holmes and Suri were sure to enjoy their time in our neck of the woods, hitting Bal Harbour Shops for a little shopping. The mom-and-daughter duo also attended the premiere performance of Camp Kappawanna at the Arsht Center. At a totally different mall – Miami's International Mall, that is – Selena Gomez greeted fans as she promoted her summer offering Monte Carlo. Also doing the press thing here were Cameron Diaz, who met with press on behalf of Bad Teacher at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, and Kevin James, who premiered Zookeper at the Regal South Beach 18. Lionel Richie hit the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, sooo proving that he still can go all night long, just like the MIA can go year-round with star sightings. So until next time, have fun!
